Daily Duties at The Wellness Community Central Indiana:

Achieved a complete, 180-degree turn-around and stabilization of a young, struggling human services organization. Initiated crisis management plan to reduce expenses without sacrificing program, tap line of credit for ongoing operating expenses, re-negotiate payment terms with creditors, and launch aggressive fund development plan to accomplish budget surplus within 18 months. Capitalized on energy created by financial crisis to re-engage long-term donors, current and former Board members, founders, staff, and program participants; culminating in a festive 5th Anniversary Celebration of the founding of the organization. Five years later, on the 10th Anniversary Celebration in 2005, the organization was able to announce a $3.5 million “Building Beyond Cancer” Capital Campaign to build its own, free-standing facility.
