Daily Duties at Poquoson Fire Rescue:

Submitted, and was approved for, a non-matching Homeland Security grant totaling $283,000 by FEMA for a brand new Fire/Rescue patrol boat. Became one of the departments first assigned Advanced Life Support (ALS) Preceptors for new hires. Assisted the Deputy Fire Chief with Emergency Planning. Perform fire suppression and pump operations activities on fire scene. Attendant in Charge on Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance. Performed pre-incident survey’s on local businesses. Acted as senior firefighter, in charge of the fire station, in the absence of the station Lieutenant. Completed training to become VA EMT-Intermediate
