Daily Duties at Daybreak Foods, Inc.:

Perform Human Resources duties for a multi-site Agriculture/Manufacturing Company Coordinated and conducted new employee orientation processing. Analyzed processes/procedures and submitted recommendations to enhance efficiencies. Recruited hourly and salaried employees and tracked through HRIS system. Processed Worker’s Compensation Claims along with maintaining records and files. Conducted monthly safety audits and training for the state of Wisconsin. Maintained Wisconsin OSHA 300 and reviewed all other OSHA logs. Provided back-up payroll functions for multi-site agricultural plant via utilization of Human Resources Information System along with calculating HR Monthly Summary Reports from all locations and developing various reports such as EEO-1, turnover statistics, safety statistics, etc. Responsible for front-end of benefit Administration such as Healthcare, Dental, Life Insurance, FSA, 401k, vacation, paid time off, FMLA, etc. Provided management and staff with technical guidance and direction on prevailing HR issues that included interpretations of laws, regulations and policies. Monitored performance appraisal schedules, reviewed appraisals for accuracy and ensured timely submission. Conducted Human Resources subject matter presentations to Executives/Company Officers quarterly and performed functions during absence of Human Resources Director. Accomplishments:  Developed and implemented new Retention Program to decrease employee turnover, with projection of saving the company over $700k annually in retention related costs.  Developed and implemented Time Management and Leadership Development Training through Change Management, helping to manage personnel and processes within a Lean workplace.  Developed and implemented Recruiting Decision Matrix System that streamlined and improved the overall recruiting efforts.  Trained 15-member management team on interviewing techniques and best practices, conducting workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions that contributed to sound hiring decisions.  Assisted in strategically planning and implementing acquisitions of other companies, releasing illegal immigrants and conducting mass hiring to replace those workers.  Developed and reported Annual Affirmative Action Reports.  Trained and qualified employees on safety issues while maintaining an exemplary safety record.
