Daily Duties at American Home Mortgage Holdings:
Reporting to CEO, managed the executive staffing, compensation, employee benefits, training and development and employee relations functions for this growth-oriented national lender specializing in residential, wholesale and internet-based mortgage lending (ranked #2 on Forbes 2003 Fastest Growing Companies List). Directed a team of 22 HR staff including 4 regional HR director reports, which supported over 4500 employees in over 200 US branches. • Developed an integrated and common benefit plan platform for all employees under a self-insured model, resulting in first year savings of $2M while converting 25 employee benefit plans with 16 carriers into six plans with three carriers. • Managed the HR due diligence process for the acquisition and integration of four mortgage companies. • Developed new employee handbook, implemented PerfectSoftware HRIS, developed a web-based on-boarding / self-service portal to process all HR actions, and created new management/harassment training programs.
