Daily Duties at State Farm Insurance:

Achieved outstanding results for over ten years with many different types of efforts, ranging from hardware projects to administering cost-saving programs, and work on both sides of the system ~ the IT side in developing new systems and the business side in creating and supporting new systems (all the while, using both mainframe and web-based applications). Some projects include small efforts to apply augmented automation for required claims correspondence, introduce new automation to current manual processing for claims payment issuance with an annual savings of over $750,000, to large efforts to create a new project office management tool, and utilize vendor management to develop a new time keeping tool for the entire IT department. While working on some of the smaller projects, effectively balance multiple roles, such as a project manager, project planner, and completing typical business analyst tasks; as usually assigned to multiple projects at once, utilizing organizational and multitasking skills. As a Project Business Analyst, managed the following tasks on a regular basis to the highest efficiency utilizing Microsoft® Office products: 1. Calculate cost / benefit analysis 2. Analyze and write business architecture and requirements 3. Work on project planning, Earned Value analysis, defect, risk, issue, and change management 4. Create and execute user acceptance test cases 5. Prepare project documentation as assigned 6. Design and maintain supporting workflows and procedures 7. Present numerous training sessions using original training materials Assigned to support functions in an effort to maintain the numerous applications and modify the corresponding workflows and procedures to keep up to date with the current claim system, management of numerous vendors, and the auto claims legislative liaison.
