Managed the implementation of bankcard processing capabilities for campus merchants (including POS terminals, virtual terminal, and e-commerce applications). Researched and resolved merchant issues. Trained merchants on the use of third-party virtual terminal and event planning products and operational issues associated with accepting credit card payments, including reconciling daily credit card receipts with bank deposits and posting credit card deposits to the general ledger. Posted daily credit card deposits to the general ledger for small campus merchants that utilized the Cashier’s Office shared merchant account to process credit card transactions. Re-charged credit card processing fees to the G/L accounts of departments using third-party providers to process credit card transactions. Monitored merchant compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) via Trustkeeper.net. Assisted in managing the introduction of merchants that were previously not required to demonstrate PCI DSS compliance to the compliance process. Conducted training classes with existing campus merchants regarding changes to the PCI DSS compliance process for 2008. Created a centralized database of campus merchant profile information for use by Billing and Payment Services and General Accounting.
