Assigned 8 restaurants the duties for each period include: • Audit restaurant receipts and transactions on a weekly basis to ensure compliance with Benihana policies. • Reconcile the local bank account, the liquor account, and credit card transactions for each restaurant. • Balance sheet reconciliations. • Cost analysis for food, beverage, and supplies with recommendations to lower costs. • Percentage rent calculations and accruals. • Enter adjusting journal entries. • Complete tax returns for state, city, and liquor when applicable. • Trial balance explanations of high/low variances compared to previous periods.
