Daily Duties at Mc Kesson:

As Chief Architect, designed the system architecture and configurations for multi-computer solutions for all McKesson software applications running on AIX, HP-UX, Open VMS, Tru64, Linux and Windows including high performance, high availability, scalable servers and backup and recovery solutions using Legato, Veritas, and Tivoli products. Conducted roundtable discussions with customers to better understand their data center and network environments, resulting in optimal configurations. Developed and delivered product presentations and demonstrations based on system design and McKesson software interaction to customer base and prospects ranging from Administrators to CEOs. Subject Matter Expert to internal customers, external customers and account teams on current hardware, operating systems and their interaction with all McKesson applications. Developed and designed the architecture and system configurations for the largest deal in McKesson history, worth $83 Million; Worked with customer to bring the latest LPAR technology into the system design to reduce the server sprawl typically experienced with multiple McKesson products. Engineered remote state-of the-art High Availability Disaster Recovery site for large hospital chain in New York. Architected, priced and presented solutions for multi-tiered Storage Area Networks (SAN) consisting of IBM DS series, Dell PowerVault, Dell|EMC, HP MSA, HP xp256 and xp512, Hitachi Thunder and Hitachi Lightning, EMC Clariion, CX, Centera and Symmetrix solutions for the continuum of McKesson applications and Disaster Recovery sites. Designed, priced and presented multi-partitioned solutions on IBM Regatta and pSeries servers, HP RS9000, and VMWare on Intel platforms consisting of 16-way IBM, HP and Unisys 7000 series servers. Planned switching component solutions for multi-tiered networks comprised of McData, Brocade, IBM Director and Nortel switches and bridges. In-depth knowledge of multiple infrastructure / application technologies including server requirements for but not limited to: SQL, Oracle and Sybase databases, JBoss, WebLogic, and WebSphere. Created, priced and presented contract-ready configurations on multi-OS platforms to part-level detail insuring the latest technology was used while meeting systems requirements and the needs of the software solution set.
