Daily Duties at City Of Maricopa:

Plan, inspect and review parks, playgrounds, swimming pools, buildings and related facilities for master planned communities; Strategically locate site options for Maricopa to develop park, library and aquatic operations under the guise of a voter-approved $65 million bond package; Create and implement maintenance programs for a citywide park system as well as athletic fields for local school district; Work with departmental staff to plan, organize and implement programs within areas of responsibility in a collaborative effort; Budgetary responsibility between $4 and $6 million annually with a $65 million capital plan; Present annual budget to City Council, City Executive Team and Parks Board; Advises and consults with City of Maricopa Parks Board regarding the development, operation, and improvement of City park’s program; Responsible for all special events planning, budgets and sponsorship revenue; Consult with other governmental officials both regionally and nationally about park and recreation operations; Master negotiator with some union experience.
