Daily Duties at Wsee Tv:

Produced and present local and regional weather forecasts as an on-air broadcast meteorologist. Began this position working highly-rated morning and noon newscasts and was later promoted to the role of Chief Meteorologist, anchoring evening and late-night newscasts, as well as local news and weather cut-ins for CNN broadcasts in our market. This role required a great deal of independent work (no support staff) and much responsibility. I treated this role as both a meteorologist and as an emergency manager. Other duties included making public appearances, making presentations at local schools and "Career Days" and participating in promotional events. I was well known to our audience as being very clear and easy to understand, as as an expert in the meteorology - particularly in the types of weather events that presented true forecast challenges to the area. For the final year of this period, the station was carried via DISH Network throughout the USA and several other countries as the local CBS affiliate, providing a potential audience in the millions.
