Daily Duties at Raytheon Aircraft Company:
• Duties include final assembly of aircraft in preparation for flight readiness. Worked with engineers, and quality control personnel to finalize civilian and military aircraft for Customer Satisfaction. Two Yrs. Experience in structural/skin repair and finalization of aircraft operations such as landing gear, flight surfaces and electrical/avionics installation. Six months experienced in Research and development/Flight Line Operator. • Modification Experience: Heavy Structure teardowns and referb, Structural Mechanic, C & D Checks, Sheet metal fabrication and assembly, Cabin Upholstery and Cockpit Instrumentation mod’s, Extensive Electrical Modification. Line rework includes Sheet Metal/Composite Repair and Fabrication, Fiberglass Lay-Up and Forming, upholstery and cabinet repair and installation, Large Scale Airframe Repair (Sheet metal-Composite), including chemical/sealer applications and various metal configurations. • Installed wings to wing stub, fuel system and pressurization test of entire systems, composite winglet and navigational light assembly installation, trained from back shops and small parts to final delivery of Aircraft. • Fabricated and assembled large structural/mechanical assemblies for JADAM and Patriot Missiles. Fabricated Nose Cones on CNC mills and Press Machines. • Planning-Participated in CQI meetings and wrote MRB related repair planning to salvage rejected parts. Created processes to insure scrap would be eliminated during the building process. Interfaced with FAA Auditors and attended meetings with upper levels of shop management to resolve manufacturing process problems. • MRB Planning; Issued repair planning instructions relating to rejected parts and components in support of new assembly projects, all Beech Aircraft models.
