Daily Duties at Northrop Grumman:

Preformed Structural Modifications/Overhauls and repairs to EA6B, F-5 and E-2C military aircraft within estimated or budgeted time. Modifications included ICAPIII (Avionics) Mod’s and heavy structural repair to airframe and internal structural/mechanical materials. Initiated complete tear downs of aircraft structure for C&D checks. Fit and installed skins, ribs, stringers and hydraulics per engineering documentation. Reconstructed defect parts in metal bond shop, repairing damaged and delaminated parts, fabricated new material-vacuum bagged composite flooring and bulk head metal bonded panels. Repaired damaged and corroded infrastructure per. Northrop Grumman Engineering and Expectations of Quality. Documented all procedures and repairs of aircraft defects directly to Naval/Marine and Air force personnel. Worked in teams to produce a high quality product for Military/Wartime use. Planner: Worked with the DAS (Defect Analysis System) to determine root cause of manufacturing defects. Worked with non-destructive test personnel to identify part defects and applied technical expertise to isolate root cause. Offered remedial suggestions to shop management showing modal trends in performance. Created work plan and step by step procedures to reduce scrap and save parts that would otherwise be non-compliant.
