Daily Duties at Albemarle/ Akzo Nobel Catalysts:
• Tasked to manage all safety & environmental aspects of the site. • Successfully initiate and implement regulatory training for employees. • Identify permitting needs and EPA permit exemptions. • Effectively develop and maintain annual $750,000.00 budget. • Oversee all facets of scheduling/supervision of technical and non-technical contractors. • Accurately and efficiently maintain inventory, storage and controls for hazardous waste shipments and chemicals. • Ensure up-to-date records for permits, certifications and maintenance PM work. • Direct well-regarded ERT training for site teams. • Designated as Chairperson for RFP Safety Committee. • Assumed duties as Human Resource Coordinator for RFP (1998–2000). • Served as Maintenance Coordinator (1997-2006), Radiation Officer and Chemical Hygiene Officer. • Maintained ISO14001 documentation and training. • Hazardous operation evaluation for new and old projects and upgrades • Originally recruited as Plant Technician and achieved rapid promotion to current assignment. • PSM Coordinator for site, implementation for VPP committee. • Worked to set up safety and environmental procedures for the bottle packaging system in Polymers plant.
