Daily Duties at Syska Hennessy Group:
Supervised and managed the delivery of the Heating, Ventilating and Air conditioning (HVAC), Plumbing and Fire Protection portion of large engineering projects with complex features. Responsibilities included working on commercial sector building projects with emphasis on Healthcare and institutional projects. Assumed a project leadership role in design of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems on multiple projects. Coordinated project work with other disciplines. Developed project work plans, drawings, specifications and calculations. Reviewed shop drawings. Attended project team meetings with clients and or Owners. Monitored and managed assigned staff to achieve Project profitability goals and maintaining design schedules within budgets. Performed QA/QC reviews on projects from other offices located in New York, Los Angeles, and San Diego. Elected by the corporation to represent the Houston office in assisting a selected group of engineers, as part of the nation-wide Technical Task Force team (TTF). The TTF responsibility was to provide standards in the design, specifications and details sectors of the project development and design implementation.
