Daily Duties at Comcast Corporation:
Provide technical support to the Beltway region on preventative maintenance as a member of the Northern Virginia Roving Team. Travel to the Freedom and Beltway (extensively) regions to assist in storm recovery, revitalization of degradation system (resolving issues causing poor cable performance). At base, perform daily plant integrity tests and repair all faults discovered. Splice aerial/underground coaxial cable to restore the plant to system specifications. Perform routine troubleshooting, surveys, and outage repair. Troubleshoot service failures relating to all levels of services and products, ensuring customers’ satisfaction. Monitor cable leakage, resolutions, logged findings and submit to supervisor. Install and troubleshoot Comcast Digital Voice (CDV), cable card and High-Speed Internet services. Perform installations adhering to Comcast procedures and safe work practices and local ordinances to provide services to customers. Educate customers on the practical and safe product utilization. Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
