Reported to CEO. Strengthened strategic positioning of Company as industry leader by building market awareness, boosting employee engagement and enhancing company image. • Implemented global Best Practices in corporate communications to establish new function. Established multinational network of internal contacts to improve quality and timeliness of enterprise-wide communications. • Led crisis communications strategy stemming from Sarbanes-Oxley compliance issues linked to a 4½-year restatement of earnings, a SEC investigation, an IRS investigation, multiple shareholder class action litigation filings, and a Wells Notice enforcement action against the CEO. • Cut employee communications expenditures $500K annually by producing a quarterly digital newsletter for the 13,000-member employee population; savings generated by terminating print and international shipping costs, while translating text into four foreign languages per quarter. • Opened company’s Washington, DC office to launch a Government Relations program. Created FLOWPAC, including preparation of Articles of Incorporation and PAC By-Laws. • Collected $2.7M in grants via a state government relations effort that expanded employee training programs.
