Daily Duties at The Shaw Group, Inc.:
Reported to EVP, Corporate Development and Strategy. Structured global communications and market image strategies to convey the distinctions of company’s brand, products and services from the competition. • Established the role of Business Unit Director (BUD) within the five operating groups. Coached BUD’s in the development and execution of tailored strategic plans linked to metrics measuring personal performance. • Led development of the inaugural brand strategy including a messaging platform established as foundation for media relations & employee communications. • Generated more than 1,750 print and Web placements during FY2008 by renovating news release process and emphasizing brand messages within a global media relations strategy. • Added employee FACEBOOK profiles, moderated blogs and a data-driven feedback process within an intranet redesign to drive strategic alignment across the 26,000-member employee population. • Saved $140K in production costs for a digital Annual Review by authoring Chairman’s Letter and utilizing in-house creative staff for graphic design and photography.
