Daily Duties at Plant Cml:

Provide customers with direct and tier 2 technical assistance concerning operation, installation, maintenance/service of nation-wide 911/Emergency Communications equipment: Troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks, telephony systems, servers, modems, workstations, fax, printers, networking equipment. Evaluate failures by contacting customers, gathering information, recording all incoming calls and updating technical support database. Assist with submission of statistics analysis information to management and create methods for improving customer support. Key Contributions:  Responsible for providing support for 911 centers (PSAPs) across the United States and abroad by phone and remote access, including Police and Fire Departments, Military Bases, Government Facilities, Airports, and Universities.  Provided second level technical support to technicians from Verizon, SBC, Qwest, and Motorola, Also Plant CML Field Engineers to resolve complex end user problems, troubleshoot LAN/Wan issues, and system install issues from software to hardware including PBX, POTS Lines, Centrex, PRI, and SIP technologies.  Part of a regular on-call support rotation of approximately 7-10 days per month.  Assisted with comprehensive Solutions frequently encountered problems with descriptions, troubleshooting steps, and case references.  Coordination of parts repair and shipments under the Plant CML support model.  Initialization and Programming of a number of servers, workstations, and Vesta Pallas systems.  Completed PlantCML training courses: Vesta Pallas, Hands on experience in All 911 Plant CML Equipment and software  Additional duties included: Department RMAs, ISO Audits
