Daily Duties at O'connor Construction Management Inc.:
Provided key project management oversight for all major construction operations; drove staff management, client relations and performance initiatives to optimize business results. Key Contributions Provided critical leadership for a $75MM construction project encompassing 2 State Prison Facilities for the Nevada Department of Corrections in conjunction with Nevada State Public Works Board; managed 70+ trades and specialty crafts, enhanced key financial indicators, and ensured compliance with all State Issued Performance Contracts, Plans and Specifications. Established consulting services practice targeting public and private sector clients; developed initial client base and directed projects involving an array of services including Procurement, Estimating, Scheduling and Project Based Construction Management. Developed strategic alliances with key state officials, resulting in capture of correctional facilities projects billing more than $20K per month with annual pipeline in excess of $100M. Project managed the completion of a 5-story hotel renovation in historic downtown district with budget of $10M including sustainable design upgrades.
