Daily Duties at State Of California Department Of Health Care Services:

As a Med i-Cal Eligibility Analyst, I independently conducted analysis, evaluations, and implementation of the Federal and State home-Community Base Waiver Program. I acted as liaison between the counties and my unit, as well as provided technical and analytical assistance where needed. I reviewed policies. I coordinated with the 58 counties on the accuracy of their decisions regarding Med i-Cal beneficiaries. I contacted beneficiaries to update database files. I wrote letters and memos and provided in house and outside training to the appropriate staffs. I worked as lead on special projects. I monitored staffing needs for the eligibility part of the program. Reviewed bill analysis and conduct presentations. Participate in telephone conferences with CMS. I was the Subject Matter Expert and Consultant to all 58 counties in California regarding waiver eligibility. Wrote Budget Change Concepts, legislature concepts, budget change proposals. Conducted bill analysis and write issues memos. Conducted Medicaid or Med i-Cal Audits to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations for In-Home-Operations services. Trained all levels of staff on state Medi-Cal or Medicaid Eligibility process to ensure that clients maintained health care insurance. Wrote training materials, prepared training material via power point presentations. Coordinated and scheduled training programs and courses for staff nurses and lay personnel on State Medi-Cal eligibility procedures and processes. Trained throughout the State of California. Prepared training materials and updated training manuals for all levels of staff. Wrote training manual.
