Daily Duties at State Of California Department Of Health Care Services:
Health Care Contract Manager for the Health Coverage Initiative (HCI) program (uninsured demonstration program). Currently, I plan, organize and implement protocols, procedures, and policies for the HCI program. I work with the Deputy Directors of 5 counties and CEOs of health care organizations regarding HCI enrollment, eligibility, program status, and Deficit Reduction Act (DRA) issues. Monitor enrollment figures; look at direct and indirect cost figures as required by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). Review time study surveys. I prepare power point presentations, and make presentations to staff, management and stakeholders. Adhere to due dates and provide feedback to management and other staff on HCI issues. Site visits and audit counties regarding the HCI program. Provide counties with guidance on HCI issues. Review expenditure reports and trend analysis and correlations factors of health care budgets.
