Daily Duties at Vanir Construction Management:

Construction Manager: Worked on several projects for the County of Los Angeles, the State of California, the Los Angeles Unified School District, and the San Juan Unified School District, grades 1 thru 12. This includes new construction and remodeling of buildings and systems from start to finish. The scope of work would include civil, structural, electrical and mechanical, consisting from a few thousand dollars (tenant improvements and up-grade projects) to new construction of facilities (Capital projects) projects of several million dollars from start to finish. I managed up to 8 simultaneous projects. As Construction Manager, I managed the contract and represented the owner in and during all phases of construction. Performed construct ability reviews on project designs (design build). Prepared and processed design changes, RFI’s, contractor pay requisitions, schedules, health & safety plans, hazardous material handling procedures and other construction documents. Maintained all project records and files, coordinated all meetings and scheduled functions. Insured that scheduling and budget parameters are met and redirected activities accordingly. Construction Manager for the underground fiber-optic network project (E-rate program) for the Los Angeles Unified School District, and the new construction of a 40 million dollar high school in Van Nuys California. Construction Manager for the modernization upgrade project at the California State University of Long Beach, fast track 17 projects in 2 ½ months. Construction Manager for the State of California seismic structural building upgrade at Chino State Prison. Construction Manager for San Juan Unified School District working on a number of energy modernization and upgrade projects throughout the District.
