Daily Duties at Usa Ce:
Officer in Charge of Survey - layout of first Engr Unit built pre cast 81-ft, 22-ton concrete berm brigdes in Vietnam. Each span 7 to 9 berms posttensioned, each bridge 3 to 4 spans, precast 40ft friction pile drivn 300 to 400-ft. Design and testing of mixes from two concrete batch plants. Testing of asphalt from three asphalt batch plants. Construct of 22 bridges and 65 km on two lane asphalt road (LTL-7A) from Vinh Long to Tra Vinh, Mekong Delta, South Vietnam. Used soil cement, sand cement, clay-lime, sand asphalt soil stabilization and subgrade as needed. Daily schedule of work. Weekly progress and prduction report. Design plans modification for troop construction. Vinh Long Airfield drainage improvements. Army Comendation Medal by Commanding General, Engineer Command Vietnam, Bronze Star
