Managed inventory supply of 2,500 parts valued at $5 million within an OEM operation. Fostered relationships with suppliers and buyers to assure purchase orders were expedited in an efficient, timely manner. Utilized Oracle and Discoverer reporting module to investigate and research inadequate purchase orders and delinquent deliveries; this mandated monitoring inventory levels in computer system, performing daily MRP data analysis of item database, processing related status reports and submitting findings to departmental staff and upper management so as to properly expedite purchase orders based on accurate records. Worked closely with vendors/suppliers to achieve 98% JIT delivery rate. Processed/issued purchase orders to vendors with an urgency to meet tight deadlines; this required research and issuance of technical documents, formal price quote requests, prompt delivery confirmation and initiating cost data management for accurate maintenance in business system. Resolved inaccuracies in inventory levels/material shortages through investigation, analysis and processing inventory transactions to correct discrepancies. Initiated resolution of credit issues between vendors and finance/accounting department ensuring delivery and production schedules were adhered to.
