Daily Duties at Platform Learning:
Platform Learning Inc., New York, NY 2004 - 2006 National company in a $6.6 billion market. Provides online & offline educational services to students in grades K-8 across 11 states. CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER Report to CEO. Responsible for all development and launch of e-Commerce e-Learning technology, budget of $15 million for IT operations, strategy and planning, application and infrastructure development and deployment of national growth plan. • Led the design, development and deployment of a national online education system and grew what was a $13 million dollar offline company into a $75 million dollar National Online e-Learning Social Service Organization leveraging Microsoft Internet Information Servers and related MS applications. • Led the corporate IT strategy and planning committee successfully developed and deployed call center and web based applications and services using J2EE Open Source and Microsoft Solutions to scale the CEO’s business plan overseeing all phases of Information Technology design and deployment. • Led the companies growth efforts and formulated a strategic IT plan and budget to launch a national online education system and gained board approval and secured funding to scale services across the United States over 2 years. Efforts fueled growth as more users were able to access information via the web resulting in increased revenue from $13 million to $75 million annually. • Instrumental in the design and deployment of custom back office call center applications and system infrastructure successfully implementing ECRM, SAP, HRMS systems on a scalable J2EE- VM WARE infrastructure which enabled the company to support its user base from 10,000 to 50,000. • Implemented an Online Media Marketing Strategy to fuel growth utilizing Ad server technology and email marketing campaigns developed in PHP and HTML resulting in a 500% increase in student enrollment nationally over 2 years. • Realized savings in excess of $280,000 annually through negotiating and outsourcing the Data Center Operations assuring system redundancy and business continuity in compliance with Federal programs. • Implemented Business Process Management (BPM) Software realizing savings over $800,000 annually. Reduced process steps in Accounts Payable, improved inventory control and streamlined operational processes resulting in lower overhead and reduced receivables from 90 to 30 days. • Performed cost analysis of Call Center Telecom re-bid services and outsourced Call Center and Tech Support Services resulting in $2 million in annual savings.
