I provided software development and analysis to help solve diverse science and engineering problems as sole proprietor of Scientific and Engineering Programming Consultants (SEPCon). My consultation included contracts with Lockheed Martin Energy Systems, Southern Research Institute, and CH2M Hill. I designed, created, applied and maintained a Flow Gemini Report Generator for Lockheed Martin Energy Systems’ Industrial Hygiene department according to JAD based functional requirements. The Health Physics program manager said that the application was better than she had received from her own in-house IT staff. I developed, designed and implemented the “Continuous Cooling Transformation Material Property Predictor” for Steels and Cast Irons for Southern Research Institute. I accomplished this by building a database management system from scratch on a platform that had no DBMS services. The application was ported to mini-computers and finally PCs in the 2000s. My accomplishments allowed my employer to receive over 2 MM in research dollars.
