Daily Duties at Project Leader, Airport Customer Service Performance Measures:
I managed development and implementation of Airport Customer Service analysis, reporting, and presentation applications to support all operational and administrative areas within ACS. This required that I perform the duties of a business analyst as well as project leader by facilitating and participating in JAD sessions. I interviewed stakeholders, internal, and external clients and then wrote, compiled, and consolidated functional requirements for major and minor projects. I managed development and implementation of divisional decision support applications to analyze performance of field operations and administrative functions. I tracked corporate and divisional initiatives, provided quality assurance and ensured stakeholder needs were met. I managed development of projects, from analysis to conceptual design to implementation including testing, system acceptance, troubleshooting and pre- and post-implementation measurement. I ensured models and requirements met IT standards and were consistent with closely related development efforts across divisions. I was responsible for coordinating necessary aspects of change management with all stakeholder areas throughout development and implementation of projects. I lead the support of existing systems with problem identification and troubleshooting. I helped create and maintain, for 10 years, Delta’s Airport Customer Service (ACS) Key Performance Indicator (KPI) program. I created the current ACS vice-president’s index scorecard. I implemented and provided the mathematical analysis and support for the KPI program. I mentored over 10 team members and 100s of others and was the last remaining original team member as we transitioned to Delta-Northwest KPI metrics team in 2008. I became the “go to” person for metrics and data support for management, colleagues, and other divisions. I managed development and implementation of ACS’ decision support applications to analyze performance of field operations and administrative functions. I logically modeled databases, performed ETL, built scratch data sources, built relational and OLAP databases, analyzed, and reported on most ACS GO and field reporting projects. I created and maintained the ACS Performance Measures Dashboard which served as the basic metrics communication tool between the field and general offices for seven years. I tracked corporate and divisional initiatives, provided quality assurance and ensured stakeholder needs were met. I mastered all software systems given to me as tools either through their native GUI or programming interfaces. This spectrum ranges from the high-end multi-dimensional OLAP products such as Essbase (modeling, outline and hierarchy building) to mid-level products like BRIO to the low end Microsoft Office products and all communications between the above. (Actual Product versions: Hyperion Essbase 9, Hyperion Intelligence (Brio) 8.3, MS Office 2003.)
What they like about Project Leader, Airport Customer Service Performance Measures:
You give high priority to hiring firms with prestige. Market reputation and prestige of a firm may be determined through on-line research, and conversations with individuals working in your target industry. Note that firms "in the public eye" receive a great deal more critical publicity and attention than those operating with more anonymity. So as you assess your employment opportunities, be sure to seek out the positive aspects of the firm's reputation in addition to noting negative publicity the company may have received.

Climbers who worked at Project Leader, Airport Customer Service Performance Measures had these interests:
Books | |
---|---|
Understanding Variation The Key to Managing Chaos | It examines in a very simplistic way how today's decision makers misuse data by calling it information and the provides cases of the real consequences of doing so. It introduces non-technical readers to the world of useful information. |
Principia | Sir Issac Newton's best work. This is the birthing of modern engineering and science. It is the final edition of a work which brings to fruition over 3500 years of wondering (in writing) how to describe motion in the least number of propositions. |
Institutes of the Christian Religion | One of the supposed seven books that altered Western civilization. If read without applying modern mores to his critical style, it is probably the best work to date critically examing Christian beliefs. |
History of the United States from the Earlist Discoveries to the Present Time | A 1865 edition collectors book that I possess which gives the historical view of the US from Columbus to the 1859. The view is uncluttered by the re-interpretation of history through the modern lens and therefore more authoritative as to intentions. |
