Daily Duties at Hewlett Packard:

Directed development, implementation, and support of multiple business systems for $100B+ technology solutions company. Director-level position overseeing budget, development, infrastructure architecture, security, software release, strategic architecture for financial flows, testing, escalation, service requests, disaster recovery, performance, strategic planning, compliance, and staffing. Supervised geographically dispersed team of software development managers, engineers, analysts, project managers, and DBAs including all travel, training and performance reviews. Managed contracted services, resources and service level agreements (SLA’s). Led complete software development life cycles (SDLCs) and production patch releases. • Contributed to corporate growth by managing post-merger testing and development-related projects, including migration of Compaq’s financial systems to HP systems. • Planned and led several process improvements, including updates to documentation, strategic planning, and project status reporting. • Effectively led department’s involvement in internal and external audits, including Sarbanes-Oxley. • Reduced unplanned downtime by establishing and managing Systems Administration Governance Board and change request & review process to ensure continuity of system changes and availability. • Saved $750K in inventory management costs by eliminating 160 applications through merging of functionalities into one consolidated system. • Cut monthly and annual revenue reporting time 50% by consolidating systems. • Delivered 6% annual offshore tax advantage by reengineering and migrating corporate international invoicing system to UNIX platform.
