Daily Duties at Allied Signal/Honeywell Aero Space:
• As Lead NDT Specialist and Quality Control Technician. Scheduled work assignments and coordinated activities of 15 employees on three shifts. Level II’s in PT, MT, UT and RT. Maintained records and inspection reports, ordered supplies, equipment and training materials. Advised on procurement of major equipment outlays to enhance technological effectiveness. • Trainer for inspection techniques and facilitator of quality circles, six-sigma lean initiatives and Kaizen events to develop strategies to support and drive team effectiveness. • Performed first piece checks, in-process audits, gauge inspections, receiving inspections, CMM operation, form scan and optical comparator inspections. Provided written analysis, disposition documentation, and presentations of technical processes per requirements. • Inspected and operated CNC’s: broach-cut, grinders, lathes, and EDM processes using calipers, depth, thread and ring gages.
