Daily Duties at Shaw Industries/Plant Si:
Lead a team of Plant Supervisors who were responsible for ensuring a safe work environment for the Company's employees, vendors, contractors, and guests. Conducted safety training at both a leadership level as well as employee safety training and education. Our team's major accomplishment was reducing the Incident Rate from a 6.3 to a 2.9 over a two year porcess. The Company greatly contributed to this success by adopting a Behavior Based Safety program. As an ISO 9001:2000 Lead Auditor, I conducted monthly internal audits to ensure the 1,200 plus employees were complying to the requirements of the Quality Mabnagement System. The audit process allowed for continual reinforcement of quality procedures and opprotunities to train and educate all levels of management and employees. The semi-annual outside third party audits validated our committment to a quality program. Certifications were maintained in both the ISO 9001:2000 Quality, as well as the ISO 14001, Environmental.
