Daily Duties at Carpenter Co:
While employed at Carpenter Co. I started working as a Division Accountant and was promoted within approximately six months to Corporate Staff Accountant. As the division accountant my responsibilities included preparing and posting journal entries for month end close, managing monthly inventory and preparing reports, and prepare P&L statements for each profit center. I was also responsible for supervising four accounting clerks. My responsibilities as a Corporate Staff accountant was to prepare COPA reports for over a hundred profit centers at sixteen different locations throughout the country. My duties also included preparing the inventory adjustment reports for executive management for each location. Reconciling bank statements for various locations and provide training for division managers on company reconciliation procedures.
