* Served as public affairs and advertising supervisor using marketing data, economical scanning and trend analysis to create and implement national communication plan and budgets. * Charged with public relations for 3 companies and 4 brands: TCNA, Ceramic Tile Education Foundation (CTEF), TCA Team (TCAT), and TCNA Product Performance Testing Laboratory (PPTL). * Developed budgets and monitored expenditures; managed external and internal corporate branding, publicity, advertising, product promotion as well as media and industry relations. * Wrote copy, photographed subjects, graphically designed and produced newsletter, posters, banners, brochures and web sites. * Established and maintained favorable media relations and acted as primary contact; arranged print and radio interviews. * Represented organizations during press conferences; authored, edited, and proofed press releases and related articles. * Designed and implemented innovative branding strategies: tile related question / answer column in Tile Magazine; developed graphic and editorial calendar in collaboration with ceramic engineering personnel. * Bolstered media exposure for TCNA members by persuading Italian and Spanish partners to schedule American press conferences prior to their events; influenced VIP media delegate selection for Coverings. * Coordinated press tours of the North American Pavilion during trade show. * Negotiated strategic positioning and public relations efforts for U.S. manufacturers as a representative on the international Public Relations Advisory Committee for Coverings. * Used well developed technical skills to diagram functionality and graphically design, program and manage content of 5 websites. * Greatly increased traffic to and popularity of TCNA website from 4.3K monthly visits on a 7 page site to 150+ pages averaging 16.6K sessions per month. * Created written documentation and presented internal briefings regarding communications, merchandising, and sales programs. * Research and analyzed communications programs, advertising, and marketing tactics; reported finding to officers and board of directors. * Supervised marketing specialist and led cross-discipline teams in identifying needs. * Provided guidance for management regarding communication issues, sales and merchandising strategies and policies / procedures. * Established corporate style, policies, and procedures to support organization missions and goals. * Managed recruiting activities resulting in TCNA member representing 99% US-made tile, 94% Mexican tile and virtually all setting materials manufactured and sold in North America. * Generated an 82% increase in TCNA membership dues; strengthened branding through industry involvement, publicity, print and electronic media ads, trade show exhibits and internet presence. * Closely collaborated with engineering team to establish objectives and develop an environmental scan to identify perceived value, buyer habits, and future needs assessments. * Created integrated plan resulting in increased laboratory sales by 376% within 3 years. * Supported corporate mission and annual goals for TCNA, CTEF, TCAT, and PPTL and significantly increase public corporate and product awareness. * Designed booth configuration, negotiated booth contract, scheduled staffing, and ordered electrical, furnishing and freight for trade show exhibit. * Negotiated contracts, established production schedule, monitored programs and tracked leads. * Graphically designed and prepared digital files, negotiated advertising space; placed strategic advertisements to reach prospects across print and electronic media as well as in exhibits. * Received 2nd place awards at 2005 and 2002 Advertising Excellence Award sponsored by National Floor Trends Magazine for CTEF advertisements.
