Daily Duties at Moldex Metric Inc:
Directed engineering / design operations and team members. Built up R&D department, hiring personnel, introduced CAD and rapid prototyping, developed computer BOM programs to enhance control of development and production tracking. Instrumental in introducing ISO 2001 quality control programs. Developed and instituted plans to enhance products in segments such as industrial respirators and hearing protection. Spearheaded mission-critical projects such as launch of a new plant and the deployment of new processes and best practices. Conceived materials costing / production processes and drove product development / production by converting requirements for the manufacturing team. Leveraged subject matter expertise to advise colleagues across numerous functions. Discovered new domestic and international vendors and negotiated contracts. Cultivated strong relationships with clients; performed requirements analysis, counseled on design / technical matters, oversaw client presentations, and collaborated with the sales and marketing forces.
