Daily Duties at Da Vita, Inc.:
Originally accepted as a staff Registered Nurse with this company, I was offered the position of Clinical Coordinator within nine months of my hire date. I learned the role at one of the company's smaller clinics where I was in charge of 62 patients, then an opportunity opened to co-manage the patients at a much larger clinic, where I am currently employed. As part of a two-person Clinical Coordinator position, I am currently responsible for overseeing patient care activities at a large suburban chronic-care dialysis clinic. This includes scheduling, assessment, teaching, and care planning for 112 patients, as well as management of their individual dialysis treatments on a daily basis. The teaching role in this position is significant, as patients who suffer from renal failure are deluged with massive amounts of information at the onset of their disease, with new information arising almost daily. My partner and I also manage medication dosages through physician and corporate protocols, supervise our team of unlicensed personnel, ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines, and assist the Facility Administrator with clinic operations.
What they like about Da Vita, Inc.:
You highly value a work environment built on a formal structure, rules, and regulations. You do not enjoy the unpredictability of shifting priorities and deadlines that upset your routine. You require and enjoy direction, input and accountability as part of your work environment. You have a strong need to participate in making key decisions and feel left out if your superiors or co-workers do not seek your input when making decisions. You thrive on providing good customer service to both internal or external customers, and doing so makes you feel good.
