Daily Duties at Health One Medical Center Of Aurora Intensive Care Unit:
Due to extensive history within this corporation I was allowed to participate in a pilot program to bring new graduate nurses directly into ICU internship program. During this internship, I worked closely with a mentor to learn techniques and strategies for care of critically ill patients. The ICU in this hospital was staffed solely with Registered Nurses, so I was involved in all aspects of direct patient care, from changing bed linens to invasive procedures and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
