Daily Duties at Health One Centennial Medical Plaza Emergency Department:
As an EMT I was responsible for direct patient care under the direction of physicians and registered nurses. I was adept at quickly developing rapport with the patients, so I was trained extensively in patient education techniques. As I progressed within the position, I was given additional responsibilities, including management of EKG services, supply ordering, equipment care, and new employee orientation. Due to exemplary diligence, performance, and dedication, I was awarded the first-ever corporate full scholarship to nursing school. Completed intensive nursing education program while still working half time in Emergency Department.
