Daily Duties at Computer Technician:

*Formatted Windows computers to install XP, Vista or Windows 7 Home and Professional Editions *Setup servers and desktops for automatic Microsoft updates, Virus scanning and Tape Backups using Symantec Backup Exec, McAfee Enterprise, Trend Micro or Symantec Endpoint *Designed group policies in Active Directory to manage employee documents *Setup Websense Web Content filtering software polices to monitor and manage employee internet usage *Setup web content filtering in homes for parents to see where their children surf on the internet and either allow or prohibit access to those sites *Migrated user's computers in homes and small businesses from Vista and XP to Windows 7 using an external hard drive and the Windows Transfer Agent *Installed Virus and spyware software for Windows PC's *Configured handheld phones including Blackberry's and other phones including HTC, to link directly to the BES or to the MS Exchange server *Installed Network Cards and other PC Components *Configured PC user policies, DNS and DHCP in Windows 2000, XP and Vista *Configured RAID on backup devices and setup external hard drives *Setup online backups using Sugar Sync and other data backup services *Monitored customer computer systems remotely *Installed and configured various wireless and wired routers *Installed and configured laser and inkjet multifunction printers *Configured hard drive encryption using PGP solutions *Setup MAC's with Apple Airport and Linksys wireless hardware devices *Recovered data from corrupted non-bootable hard drives
