Daily Duties at Digital Equipment Corporation:

I had many roles at Digital before I left. I worked as a secretary for a year then Sr. Administrative Assistant in Sales, to Sales Support, to Jr. Consultant for the All-in-One product.  Provided excellent Proposal Development skills to the Business Development department.  Worked with sales representatives in a 5 state region preparing state-of-the-art proposals from beginning to end. My proposals included company history, descriptions of equipment, diagrams, solutions, references and quotes.  These proposals were excellent tools for sales representative making an excellent first impression of our company and our product and services. - Went on sales calls with the sales representative, typed quotations, forcasted sales for each month. Kept track of each sales representatives expenses, made travel arrangements, traveled as a consultant to large conferences to register attendees. - Heavy phones (in the early 80's voice mails was a dream) - Made travel arrangements the old fashion way. Calling each airlines, hotel, car rental then making an agenda with their confirmation numbers and directions on how to get to each customer's location. - Composed many letters, copies, faxing.
