Daily Duties at Atmos Energy Corporation:
Responsible for the accurate and timely posting of 3.2M payments/month with the revenue impact of over $500M, the budget of not only the payment applications department but of the division’s payment activity totaling $3.8M. Also, the strategic planning and implementation of continued improved payment processing models and customer initiatives including, but not limited to PC Banking, Web based, and Electronic 3rd party processing, and the employee development of 20 staff members. Reduced the number of exception items handled each day from 600 to less than 100. Reduced the number of Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) from 62 to 28 days Increased the number of consumer payment options from 3 to 9 including KIOSK, walk-in and credit/debit cards. Evaluated and Tested a Consumer Gift Card program to be implemented in 2008 Evaluated, tested and implemented the conversion to a new CIS system. Negotiated a lower interchange rate for credit and debit card transactions Designed, tested, and implemented solution for decrease of 3rd party on-line bill pay exceptions.
