Filene’s/May Co., Lanesborough, MA Operations Manager 2001-2002 Managed all sales support activities that drive store sales, customer service and earnings of a $19M store including: staffing, pricing accuracy, credit program, merchandise receipt, movement, sales floor preparation, and stockroom maintenance. Assistant General Manager 1999-2001 All responsibilities of the Store Operations Manager position, plus the additional responsibility of managing Human Resources including: recruiting, hiring, training, transferring, counseling, and terminating of associates. Administered benefits program and controlled wage rates. Area Sales Manager 1994-1999 Managed men’s clothing, furnishings, collections, men’s and women’s shoes, home textiles, and cosmetic departments. Responsibilities included: sales, customer service, staffing, merchandising, visual presentation, and inventory.
