Daily Duties at R.W. Beck And Associates:
Construction Project Manager: At NASA, Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville Alabama. Provided construction management services owner/contractor coordination, supervision and construction and quality assurance inspections for all construction projects, including new construction and remodeling of facilities from start-up to closeout. To include structural, electrical, civil, and mechanical (MEP), ranging from a few hundred dollars (tenant improvements and upgrade projects) to construction of facilities (Capital projects) projects of several million dollars from start to finish. Managed up to 15 projects at a time, maintained all project records and files, coordinated all meetings and scheduled functions. Primary responsibilities were to manage the general contractor, sub-contractors and material suppliers for the projects. Performed constructability reviews on project designs (design build). Prepared and processed design changes, RFI’s, contractor pay requisitions, schedules, health & safety plans, hazardous material handling procedures and other construction documents. Insuring that scheduling deadlines were met and redirected activities accordingly. Other projects managed, the construction and installation of clean rooms associated with the building of the new space station sections and components. Project Manager for new central chiller plant and underground piping, new 8-story administration office building, new electronic lab, and other major construction projects.
