Daily Duties at California Army National Guard:
o Maintained accountability of unit property utilizing automated and manual hand receipts. o Requested and facilitatesd issuance and recovery of personnel clothing and organizational clothing and equipment IAW current directives. o Insured that monthly reporting requirements (Sensitive Item Inventory, Cyclic Inventory, etc.) are met, reviewed and signed by Unit Commander. o Requested, received, and managed supplies with current directives, and automated programs. o Prepared food service requests and managed all food service files and reports. o Managed maintenance files and reporting as well as repair parts. o Assisted in the preparation of the Unit Status Reports, logistics briefing material, ammunition requests, training site requests, and other requests/reports as directed. o Worked extended work hours and weekends as needed to meet job requirements. o Performed duties as a program manager for all official military documents pertaining to all Enlisted Soldiers assigned to various California Army National Guard units and determined the appropriate personnel action and computer coding in accordance with National Guard Bureau and U.S. Army guidance, regulations, policies, and National Guard Pamphlet (NGP) 25-10. o Managed and inputed into appropriated automated programs all electronic and manually produced orders for promotions, reassignments, transfers, and discharges, etc in accordance with National Guard Bureau and U.S. Army guidance, regulations, and policies. o Managed/Updated personnel statements. Manually input duty days for Soldiers to correctly account for retirement. o Corrected start dates and retirement year ending dates to match HRO Records. o Created/Deleted records as needed for new hires, or those no longer employed. o Provided on the spot support to soldiers or leaders based on walk-ins, phone calls, and email request. o Served as a Security Specialist and as the primary full time point of contact on intelligence matters. o Served as a security monitor, by implementing security regulations through spot-checks or random sampling of classified items. o Developed procedures for emergency evacuation of personnel, and non-replacable equipment and information. o Provided advice and support to managers, supervisors, and Commanders on recruitment and placement matters for a variety of professional, administrative, technical and clerical occupations. o Accumulated and analyzed statistics concerning recruitment and placement functions such as turnover rates, loss rates, promotions, minority recognition rates, hiring lag time, etc. o Ensured required selection documentation and information contained in prtdonnrl records was correct including compatibility; checked medical certificates and reports from references; checked security requirements; initiated select/non-select letters, etc. o Interpreted and applied Federal/State pay setting tools such as highest previous grade achived on active duty rule and recruiting and retention incentives were paid as required. o Assisted in developing, coordinating and maintaining state plans/guidance.
