Daily Duties at Comcast Spotlight:

Transformed Human Resources from non-descript to strategic business partner, working with senior sales management in strategic and tactical areas to drive key business performance initiatives. Catalysts in transformation of sales organization in its perception of human resource function from bureaucratic to value added and collaborative.  Fostered teamwork/open-door environment conducive to positive dialogue across the organization. Personal efforts were cited as the driving force behind positive employee engagement survey measuring workplace index, score of 89% among highest in division.  Reduced turnover by 66% three consecutive years, improving client retention and sales metrics.  Trained management team on interviewing techniques and best practices, conducting workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions that contributed to sound hiring decisions.  Created market’s first formal performance review program, a flexible and well-received tool that was later adopted for commissioned sales.  Led national SAP rollout, which included training 20 human resource professionals, resulting in improved recruiting efficiencies and standardized practices.  Partnered with senior and field management in creation and executing of coaching improvement plans for underperforming employees, of which 85% significantly improved their performance. Resulted in decreased turnover, improved morale and increased employee engagement.  Developed and coached performance management workshop, which reduced vulnerability to complaints and lawsuits. Human Resources Manager (2003-2005) Catalyst and strategic business partner to local leadership team, guiding and coaching to surface, challenge, mediate and resolve human resources -related business issues.  Merged two competing HR organizations into one cohesive and efficient department. Utilized multi-pronged communication approach which overcame challenge of blending distinct cultures and resulted in implementation of consistent practices.  Devised creative and cost-effective incentive and employee engagement programs that increased employee satisfaction and productivity.
