PROGRAM & PROJECT MANAGER: • Established a PMO for Boehringer-Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. • Established and managed PMO via program management and SDLC methodologies in the areas of Supply Chain Management, Risk Management, Vendor Management, Management Reporting and Software Testing. • Performed comprehensive assessment of Automotive Rentals entire IT department, including IT infrastructure, application development projects and recommended process improvement, methodologies and policy standardizations to maximize efficiencies. Positioned client for transition to advanced technology. • Conducted a Software Portfolio Assessment for Omni Services that would assist them in preparing a budget to replace or refurbish outdated software and eliminate waste. • identified existing software at life-cycle end to be triaged and replaced by COTS packages. • Also created an Enterprise Resource Plan to enable them to circumvent their unstable environment and ready their portfolio for the new Millennium. • Provided direction for Vendor Management, Tools Assessment, and Code Scanning of 7 million LOC’s in C and various 4GL’s. • Created a methodology for Desk Checking Error-Free Applications. Also implemented a framework for Configuration Management. • Readied two critical applications for implementation for General Electric Information Services (GEIS), which consisted of 1 million Lines Of Code and packaged two financial applications in preparation for enhancement. The structured approach resulted in significant cost savings and avoided redundancy in manpower usage. • Also delivered a Methodology for assembling a Functional Specification and a Plan for Implementing Change/Version Control to make modifications in parallel with applications undergoing continuous enhancements. • Also presented different project management scenarios using COCOMO to enable GEIS to choose the best project fit between their team and the DDI team. • Established a complete Configuration Management environment for their application development teams. • Code Analysis and enhancements for the critical and financial applications were done at DDI’s Ireland factory, and Baseline and Acceptance Testing were done at the GEIS site in Rockville, MD. • Created Release Management methodology and delivered Version Control initiative at Merck and GlaxoSmithKline to enable them to track Millennium-based changes made to their software.
