Daily Duties at Verizon Business:
Total operations, maintenance, and installation services oversight for a multi-location team of nineteen (19) direct reports including thirteen (13) universal technicians and six (6) contractors for two (2) “local node” switches handling all Verizon Business traffic and two (2) web-hosting premium datacenters servicing more than (130) customers across the Mid-Atlantic region with a combined $22M in annual revenues. • Provided strategic leadership and direction for all current and future operational plans; accountable for results, costs, methods, and staffing. • Established and enforced adherence to budgets and performance requirements; instituted accurate and timely reporting, including P & L, productivity, and other operations metrics. • Planned, organized, and directed all network maintenance operations including schedules, work plans, installation, service, and changes. • Conceptualized new ideas for continuous and/or breakthrough improvements; performed daily audits and tracked and improved results. • Ensured the continual proficiency and training of a highly skilled technician force in advanced telecommunications technologies relating to routers,servers, and switches.
