NAUTILUS SPORTS MEDICAL INDUSTRIES, INC. ~ Dallas, TX 1987 ñ 1988 Manufacturer and distributor of commercial and home fitness equipment. PRESIDENT, MEDICAL PRODUCTS DIVISION Started up Medical Products Division to design exercise equipment for the rehabilitation medicine market. Directed the design, manufacturing, marketing, finance, and sales distribution of Nautilus equipment and products for medical markets. Led all aspects of marketing program, including product design, distribution, and promotion. * Researched and designed a new line of INDEPENDENCE strength and exercise equipment for wheelchair-bound and able-bodied users with a projected US market of $35M and $100M global market. * Led the design of 10 pieces of equipment customized for individuals with physical disabilities. * Developed service programs to significantly enhance integrity of product and substantially improve customersí perception of quality. * Assisted senior management in business transition during sale of company.
