Daily Duties at Komag, Inc:

Managed Payroll and Accounts Payable departments. Worked closely with HR and Controller to provide accurate and timely processing of payroll for this varied workweek population mostly comprised of hourly manufacturing employees. Created, improved and maintained internal processes eliminated double keying across departments and ensured accuracy of employee master information. Created various custom reports for management use. Managed accounts payable team, including paperless transition, inventory and receiving projects. Teamed with Purchasing to educate a well-rounded team who processed accurate and timely vendor payments. Managed audits including tax compliance: payroll tax, sales tax, workers compensation, general liability verification and income tax. Managed external audits including: annual audit performed by E&Y that pertained to my departments. Successfully managed staff, including professional development, interns, and temporary employees. Managed reduction in force and assimilation of two companies purchased. This process included the assimilation of the employees from a payroll standpoint and the assimilation of the new companies processes, procedures and increased volume.
