Daily Duties at Ciber, Inc.:

As a programmer/analyst, I worked on maintaining and enhancing a High-volume long distance carrier using COBOL, IMS DB/DC, and DB2. I was responsible for creating design documentation on system changes, making new code changes, creating unit tests, supporting systems test, and supporting new releases for production code. Support Batch on a 24/7 system, responding to an outage in a two-hour window before escalation procedures commenced. I supported production online for real-time trouble shooting, eliminating a two-year backlog of trouble tickets. I supported Y2K data conversion.
