Senior UNIX Administrator 1 As a Midrange System Support Engineer, responsible for the day-to-day support and operation of 80 Sun servers and 13 RedHat Linux servers hosting mission/business critical applications. 2 Responsible for platform design, capacity planning, software and hardware installation, problem resolution, file system configuration, connection and configuration of direct attach storage devices, networking, user account maintenance, patch management, communication to SAN environment involving multipathing, and security audits. 3 Perform security audits involving running ESM software against the servers, resolving any red flags that were presented including, but not limited to, data storage security, network security, and user security. 4 Built a DR server for a critical application server. Built Oracle database and financial application servers on Solaris and Lniux platforms. Implemented hardening documentation in accordance with PNC standards. Wrote technical documents on installation and configuration procedures. 5 Provide on-call and after-hours support.
