 Participated in all phases of the internal audit process including communication of audit recommendations (written and verbal)  Served as lead auditor for financial reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 and Section 302 compliance audits and remediation of control deficiencies  Assisted with the development of a high-level control and risk assessment process that is inclusive of an on-going fraud risk assessment  Led process improvement projects for the internal audit department, which included performing vendor comparisons for audit software and on-line accounting reference resources, implementing formal planning procedures, developing a formal candidate interview guide, leading an internal quality assessment initiative, and assisting with the design layout of an on-line management tool for evaluating control deficiencies
